Christian World Business Exchange is a ministry to Christian professionals and entrepreneurs who desire to apply their God-given talents in the service of Jesus Christ.
We believe that all dreams are born in heaven, and then divinely entrusted to a man or woman that will pursue the realization of the dream. The CWBE dream was initially assigned to Everett McCoy, a young businessman and lay preacher with a heart for missions work. Others began to catch the dream, and in the latter part of 2008 the first CWBE chapter began meeting in Hoover, Alabama.
Currently, CWBE is operated as a ministry of ConnectPoint - an independent church in the Birmingham area that is led by a team of Christian professionals. Plans are to form a separate non-profit organization by the end of 2010.
CWBE is unashamedly a Christian organization, but expresses no denominational preference. Our goals include:
- Fostering an entrepreneurial spirit amongst Christian men and women.
- Providing practical and financial assistance to Christian startups, at home and abroad.
- Encouraging and teaching entrepreneurs to serve God with their business.
- Helping pastors reach and minister effectively to the business community.
- Helping Christian businesses grow internationally, with a strong focus on Missions
- Strengthening the church globally by funding and training Christian business people
